PS2 - SCPH-50001 (version 9). The system is in good condition and is bundled with other items. The memory card is preloaded with OPL 0.8c, HDLoader, fmcb, and all of the other common PS2 hombrew.

hey im interested in this but im completely new to this all.. ive been trying to figure out a way to play ps2 games on a fat ps3 not bc.. heres what im looking for and maybe you can tell me if this is what your system can do..

does the console have the ability to backup ps2 games so i can backup a ps2 library without adding anything or imputing any code or anything highly technical..is it simple as basically putting a ps2 game disc in and saying save.. then taking disc out and basically point and click and im playing..

and as well as emulation..i have a wii that i bought that has all emulators on it.. but not mame..is there a mame emulator for ps2.. i cant pm you since im new.. my email is msushaner at hotmail.. i have a ps3 and xbox360 but and im reading about the cobra dongle..but this stuff goes over my head.. i just want something done..this ps2 is the only modded ps2 i think on the whole internet.. soo hopefully this is something that would work for me..id pay you 150 for it all if its what i hope for.. but im a little reluctant because its a big ps2..and those break down easy.. is it fixed where it doesnt do it.. allright thanks..

My bro just got married yesterday and I've been super busy with that. Anyway, this PS2 is already softmodded and preloaded with all of the homebrew apps that you need. You really won't need to tinker with anything but just learn how to use the apps that are already present for use.

Yeah this PS2 is the bigger one but its a damn good console. It has a sweet clear case with a flip-top lid that allows you to swap for PS1 backups and it has the hdd bay for an internal hard drive. It has everything that you'd want on it as it is. The memory card is sweet and big enough to store a lot of game saves or you can copy them to a flash drive to store them. The PS2 has worked great for entire time that I've had it. The PS2 laser is in great shape and I've only played disc based games a few times. I always rip my games to my PC and then transfer them (FTP) to the PS2 hard drive and play them from it. Burning discs is so noobish. Though, you can burn a backup disc and launch it with ESR. Just load the backup and ESR automatically launches the game without swapping.

The original Xbox is the best console for homebrew emulators and it has mame but the PS2 doesn't and I doubt that it can handle mame. I have sega genesis/megadrive, NES, and SNES emulators on a flash drive that I plug into the PS2 usb port.
