Modded PSone

So my PS3 suffered the dreaded YLOD, and while down the road I'll either buy a new one or get it repaired, for now I'm interested in buying a modded psone or ps2. Anyone here have a modded psone for sale, or know of any sources that deal with that type of item? Thanks

Are you looking for a chipped white PSOne or would the grey PSX due? Judging by your username, I get the feeling that you live in Sweden or somewhere else in Scandinavia. It shouldn't be too hard finding a chipped PSX for a cheap penny, as there weren't many PSX consoles in these regions that were left unchipped as far as I know.

Installing modchips in PSX consoles is otherwise rather an easy task for someone who knows how a soldering iron functions.

im also looking for a chipped PS1 or the psx ether 1 will do aslong as thay play the import and backup games ill be looking to pay 40.00 usd plus shipping i have mem cards and controlers so all i need is the console and hook ups like power cable and av cable i just fried my last 1 i played it so much the motherboard went out on it i do have the chip from it but it will not go on a SCPH-1001 so if ther is like a SCPH-7501 i can chip that but id rather have it done and be for paying i would like to see a vid of it working with backup games and import if you have them and im in the usa so i would like it from here

guys there is a buy sell trade section for this sort of thing.....

as for psx games , epsxe is the best ps1 emulator there is..... for pc. i play my ps1 games on this with a psx to usb convertor box so i can use the original controllers........

I actually live in America. Honestly I wouldnt feel comfortable installing the mod chip myself. As for what type of psone I'm looking for, as long as the unit is in good enough condition to read backup discs on a regular basis, that should be fine.

Also I didnt know this wasnt the proper section to post in for my issue. So I'll post again in the proper forum. Although I will keep checking this thread too.

How's the condition of the laser and motor on the unit? Also do you sell just the unit, or cables and controller too? And of course the price

Let me tell you what I do to every system I mod.

1. Test that it reads original discs.
2. Take a part and dust and wash shell.
3. Take apart laser assembly and clean/remove old grease.
4. Clean Laser and Laser mirror
5. Re-grease Gears and Sled
6. Replace broken Hub Spindles
7. Mount chip to MoBo and do short wire install
8. Test Original Import and Domestic Games.
9. Test CD-Rs burned at 2x, 4x and 8x
- Media: JVC, MAM-A Gold and Verbatim AZO
10. Adjust Lase POT to read CD-Rs [No FMV/Audio Skipping]

I can sell you just the Unit or a complete system [System, AV cable, Power Cable, Controller DS]

I just got an overclocked system from him and I couldn't be happier. Hell I don't recall my original PSX running as well as the one jinn did for me.
