Anyone who's unsure what this is.. it basically assists you with keeping your activated DLC activated after going into service mode aswell as if you were to switch hdds.
What it does can be done manually, this just makes it easier.

This is Temporary Re-Activation of PSN content.
You will need at least 2 things for Permanent PSN Re-Activation.
1. A -complete- copy of Flash2 (xRegistry and specific DRM files to your system)
2. A -complete- copy of the "Home" dir from Hdd0 (Act.Dat, RIFs and more are required for permanent Reactivation)
3. If you can make a backup of all then enjoy permanent reactivation after a downgrade.
If you replace your HD
You'll have to make a new registry by combining the old one with the new one.
HardDrive ID info in the registry must match the current hard drive or the Act.dat and Flash2 are wiped on first boot.
The Act.dat is always wiped on boot if the xRegistry contains no PSN ID account info.
So you cant just restore the old registry.
It gets wiped or rebuilt because it contains incorrect Hard Drive information.
You will want to make a PS3 data backup.
In theory you should be able to swap out hard drives using this tool.
As long as you have the xRegistry loaded that matches the Drive the PS3 should accept it without a format.
Next we just need a tool that can update/merge xRegistry's from an old system to a new one and hard drive swapping will be easy.
