It's more than a little disappointing that we don't have a solution today, particularly for the reason stated.

X3Max have gained notariety for providing a solution that, in effect, removes the need for them to develop their own payloads. In my opinion, that in itself was quite an achievement. A "standard" dongle that will run anything.

I can understand why they would want to develop a solution they can make money from, but it does seem to smack of double standards when they want to protect themselves from the possible exploitation of other payload developers.

Come on X3Max, if you have a solution then release it. Your hardware sales will no doubt increase if you manage to prove your detractors incorrect.

I understand they want to protect their profits, but it will eventually get ported anyway. I'm not buying a new dongle for every company that comes out with something new, sorry.

But I will respect x3max if they release the exploit.
