X3MAX finally releases a Downgrader!

X3Max Releases v3.50 Downgrader

X3MAX has finally joined the rest of the downgrader world!

Now the funny thing is looking at the tutorial they made, the dates on the bin file in the screenshot is from Dec. 8th and the PDF itself is from Dec. 14th. Plus they have not updated their NEWS page on the official site either, except for that weird picture above they have added, along with a link to the downgrading tutorial.

Logic-Sunrise reports that you don't lose Blu-Ray playback, but I take that as just "plain old marketing crap" because so far it been proven that the so-called PS3Break fix and then E3 Downgrader Fix, all still cause the original 256mb NAND PHAT models of PS3 Consoles to totally break their Blu-Ray movie playback, so beats me what kind of testing these dongles makers are doing, I now have a room full of broken PS3 consoles from downgrading and testing these so-called "fixed downgraders" and with no real clear true fix in sight, I personally would not risk downgrading a 256mb PHAT model without a total backup of your "/dev_flash2 and /dev_flash3" folders!

PLEASE NOTE:
This is not the highly anticipated v3.50 exploit, which was shown in a video earlier, by the X3Max team.
The truth surrounding that exploit, still remains to be seen!

Now as to what the cryptic message really means I guess X3 owners will do what we do best and wait...

I have to agree this dongle is crap... or maybe not the dongle but the tools and people behind it.

The flashing tool and the generic piece of shit is crap. It won't import a payload from any PIC file, just Atmel ones, and not all i've tried, so no, it won't work "with all third party developers firmware" as they claim on their site. They should just say what chip they are using and we will compile working files for it. Importing payloads from other hex files can be problematic, as it seems it is with their crap tool.

About the downgrade, well i guess that's the surprise they have for us:

Thanks codemasta......I guess I can quit bitching about no downgrade now. I still don't know why I would use this donlgle over any other, but the little metal back hood is kinda cool....

They have sort of hemmed themselves in and unless they produce a working 3.5 JB they will always be seen as scammers.....and why shouldnt' they be. No one else is making wild claims to try to sell their dongle......For shame!

omg i got raped by x3max, i pre order a dongle when psx-scene put that topic on latest news, couldnt believe its was fake. why the hell psx-scene let them have there one advertisment on main page and dont delete that news too or put a [FAKE] on topic name
