The recent news of a forthcoming X-Box 360 modchip called I.C.E. has been proven false. As it turns out, the image they posted of their supposed mod is actually an AVR Simmstick Development Board Kit called the OZK9510.
Compare their original image...
With the board itself (third from the bottom) here...
Of course, they will probably claim that this is the tester being used for their chip but why post this fake image to begin with then?
Second, their recently released screenshots of the chip's BIOS are clearly fakes, as evidenced here...
The B button has clearly been photohopped.
Considering everything that this team has released has been fake, one wonders what (if anything) Infinity Mods received from them for testing.
Third, this is the same group that released the fake X-Box 360 boot disc. How much more proof does one need?
Today, the I.C.E. team has announced that the chip has been "delayed due to security issues."
UPDATE: PS2NFO is now also reporting the chip is a fake. The have confirmed the following information from Divinio... "The 360 chip is 99% a scam, we had booked tickets to go meet them, we were ready to make huge prepayment and more after we meet the guys at their office and see the working X-Box 360 with back-ups they 100% confirmed they had and it was no problem to show etc. Now at last second they cancelled, with some lame reason, those guys are scammers I really believe. They did the same to Xenium, backed off and changed completely what they said."
