    My question:
BUT! If i replaced the whole dev_flash3 from another PS3, which movie i need to try the mkb? the latest (mkb) who played with mine PS3 (with bluray issue) OR the latest movie played with replaced PS3 (dev_flash3)
As far as I know it has nothing to do with the dev_flash3 files. The MKB is stored in your Blu-ray DRIVE (the discdrive) So you need the latest MKB from the last BD you played and updated your drive.

Might want to backup the dev_flash3 folder, and keep track of any other bluray movies you play as well.
    Thanks mate. Will do.

Ummm, and your DRL files are where exactly? Oh yeah, In dev_flash3 (there is a connection there)

The BD compares its contents with the DRL files.

Hence the additional info about keeping track of NEW movies played incase the DRL files (in dev_flash3) need to be corrected again.

Ok, once more for those not following:
Even if you deleted your dev_flash3....

You NEED the latest released movie (not the last movie played) by YOUR ps3

It does not matter where your DRL is from, as long as it gets edited with YOUR current highest played BD info from the first disc that changed it to that version

If you have played 3 version 12mkb BD's, then you need the FIRST one of those 3 since it updated your drive to version 12.

This tutorial worked fine for me :
    - PS3 FAT 256MB nand
    - Blu-ray : Inglourious Basterds.
but blu-ray playback doesn't work when PS3 is in JB mode : green screen

    Thanx

Okay, im unsure of what movie was played last on my ps3 as I bought it off someone

would the best way be before I upgrade to 3.5 & then downgrade back again, to put a movie in and play it
then load otherOS (i have 3.15 firmware on currently) install linux & then grab the mkb off that movie? and then I'll be able to use that to restore BD playback during a downgrade?

what would happen if I don't play said movie, and then downgraded? Would I lose BD playback for good?

    thanks in advance

Loads of people downgraded BEFORE this was discovered, including myself. In fact, when I reported it I it was not even known about.

If you are on 3.15 then:
Get the latest movie you can to update the drive & DRL files.
Copy the dev_flash3 folder to somewhere safe on your PC
If you downgrade, you should only have to re-copy the dev_flash3 folder from your PC to the PS3 UNLESS you have played a newer movie with a higher Mkb since then.

    for example:
launch ps3 jailbroken & Using Gaia manager to ftp and copying the dev_flash3 folder would work?
