Could you please post avatar ntsc? I have no clue how to tell which is which.
Pls and thks
I am sorry if this was already asked.
I bought my ps3 second hand (80bg phat-4 usb ports NTSC)
and as such i have no idea what blueray(If any) were played.
I have had the ps3 several months, and now own some newer bluerays, such as toy story 2 and 3 not sure if that helps any.
Am i lost or if there something i can try?
Oh and a Big kudos to all those trying to assist the community.
Did you ever get a chance to play your newer Blu-Rays in your ps3? The Blu-Ray that matters is the last Blu-Ray you played through your ps3 that was released at the most current date.
Let me give you an example.
Let's say you have a bunch of Blu-Rays from 2008 that you bought/played in your console, some in 2009 that you bought/played, and then just recently bought/played Toy Story 3 (2010).
Now, for the sake of example, let's say that you have played every single one of these Blu-Rays (nothing less, nothing more) in the ps3 that is now jailbroken. BUT... right before you jailbroke the PS3 you played one of your 2008 movies... Most people who are just now joining this community are under the impression they need the 2008 title because it was the "last one that was played".
What the knowledgable community members are trying to explain is that what was meant by "last one" is the most CURRENT Blu-Ray that was played in the ps3 before jailbreaking.
In this example, the only Blu-Ray you would have to worry about is Toy Story 3 as it is the most currently released Blu-Ray. This is because new Blu-Rays update your Blu-Ray drive with an MKB file that is placed on the Blu-Ray by the distribution/production company.
So, the Blu-Rays that were played by someone else before you bought your used console are now irrelevant IF you have played a Blu-Ray that is dated more currently than the date in which you received possession of your console.
I hope this makes sense. If not, I can try to explain it differently or maybe someone else can try to chime in and help in a way that you can understand.
Interesting.
I know that if you continuously hold down the power button until the PS3 goes into standby mode then hear it beep twice (I think that's how the process goes, I haven't done it in a long time), it will reset your A/V settings in the case that you adjusted for HDMI output but only have composite available (maybe you have an HD TV, using HDMI, then going over to a friend's house that only has SD with composite).
I'm kind of curious to try this out myself but don't want to screw my PS3 up! Haha.
ok........so I've uploaded the MKB_RO.inf file via arodd.com, what do I do with the #s & letters generated? can someone please help out a newbie? thanks:)
right have done everything as i should but still no playback.found out the latest mkb disc that updated my ps3 was afterlife uk version.few others played after that, but as you know by now that does not matter.uploaded the info of the disc onto the spreadsheet then download the drl's (thanks ARODD).overwrited the drl's in my flash 3 folder, but still no joy.i am 100% certain that this was the blu ray that updated my ps3 b4 downgrading.arodd or anyone else have any ideas as to what is going on.going by the threads on here i should have playback by now?
p.s if your ps3 was connected to the internet would that update the mkb at all if you were using some of the special features on the disc that connect to the net?
me again lol.was reading one of garyopa's posts from a while back about the ps3 logic board and matching them.now i know most boards will not will in another ps3 but if i get one like mine which is. A then 1,bmd-001 and then number 1-871-575-24 will that work on my ps3,and the bigger question if this is were your blu ray data is stored,if i have lost bd playback and i have will playback be restored.have found a few boards matching mine.
so like you only replace one of the drls?
why not the other?
What is the MKB version of Invictus EU?:shrugs:
