Hmmm no mention of the most important issue of being able to play games that require 3.50 fw.

But is still there jailbreak needed or it all installs directly on PS3 with sony's software updater?

What we need is to be able to play online, not via multiplayer, but via our own dedicated servers! If we could look at the code on the disk and modify that, now that would be a break through. And yes I do understand it would require certain architecture on the server side, but it's not impossible! We also need a focus on being able to hack newer firmwares. This is where are focus should be. Sorry for the rant, had a few beers!

this is great and all but all I want out of mfw is for not needing to plug my calculator/iphone into my ps3 every time I turn it on, it would be great if it would boot into mode B right away every time. and also a great feature would be if the open manager supported ntfs hdds so games with bigger files would not need splitting.

Nothing new and it's just a slight change.
I wouldnt call this a cfw
