    German developer Dark Monkey claims to have programmed the very first PS3 ModFirmWare!

    He is calling his release MFW, and will be releasing all details and packages in a few days time!

    In the meantime, he has posted the above video showing his BETA version running on a PS3 Console!

    looks like he just modified the rco files or whatever

    in which case, its not the first

    looks nice to be able to have your homebrew seperate from your games.

    also the disk/iso looks good.

    he also says this:

    'wenn ich die gesamte struktur einespayloads kapieren würde, könnte man es auch in ein payload integrieren. Nein für normalUser ist es natürlich nur möglich die MFW über einen USBLoader für User mit Hypervisor zugriff natülich loading durch den flash(vermutlich noch keiner von euch). '

    someone who can translate?

    i think he says something about it being able to integrate it into a payload...

    Actually, I can speak german very well. Here's my personal translation:

    " If I understood the whole structure of a payload, I would be able to integrate it into a payload.     Das Problem ist doch eher, dass Dark Monkeys deutsch sehr schwer verständlich ist

    Back to englisch - he says, that he doesn't understand it entirely, how a payload works, not a very good sign...atm it's just a nice way to sperate games from apps.
    And don't ask for 3.50 support
