Looks like sign, they have code for the ecdsa signature.
Can't tell if it's in working condition though, gonna compile it in a bit and check it out.

I don't understand everyones fascination with CFW. It would be almost impossible for sony to block the keys. It would stop previous software from working. The whitelist is also much harder than it sounds. It would constantly need to be updated for new games, not easy to do.
Creating an app with the keys and allowing them to run native should let them run in 3.55 and probobly any update in the future. .mkv and media support can be done with created native apps. I am sure CFW will come out but for me I am more exctited about the possibility of native apps.

And last reason - playing bowling in ps@home is fun

What alot of people are forgotting, is they are thinking the OLD WAY, we are stuck on v3.41 firmware, we powering up using a external jailbreak payload to inject changes in the lv2 kernal so we can run UNSIGNED apps like the "backup manager" and other "homebrew".

BUT team fail0verflow is bringing is the NEW WAY on using the PS3 console, we be able to update to the latest firmware soon (not yet, don't anyone please do!) and then we be able to grab a SIGNED like possibly a "homebrew directory" similar to the iphone setup, and just install it on our latest stock PS3 console, and then from there find even more things to install.
There will be no need to stay stuck on v3.41 or trying to mess around with weird custom hybird firmware, once you can just go online update, and installed a SIGNED package with the "homebrew" that you want.

When I ran it, it asked for a "type" what values work there?

I am in my fourth year in college for computer science and still dont fully understand what theyre doing with the different lv's and loaders and such.
The question inst the bad part , its the user who posted it , every time something new is posted here that little trolling -Thing i cant say -ask the same type of questions with out even reading the actual info .

Then let's hope someone "signs" a decent backup manager for use on later FWs then, eh?
