! HOUSE-WARMING PARTY !

Well things have really been moving very fast in the PS3 Scene World, with so many great and very talented new members to host, and so many lurkers hanging out in the front lawn watching the action, our little crowded old server room, was just not able to handle all the wonderful traffic and dialog that was happening, leaving many of our valued members looking at 503 instead of being able to join in the huge party and crazy going on's!

We are sad to see our old friend above leaving, but sadly times are changing and that old big beast just can't handle it, we tired I increased it from 4-core to 8-core, from 4gb of ram to 8gb, and tweak the hell out of it from one build to the next, adding in so much stuff it made my head spin, but it is time to bid farewell to it!

! WOW, WHAT A MOTHERBOARD !

Now that is one nice layout, each socket can handle a 12-core chip with 32gigs of it's own ram to use for itself. -- Now we didn't have the budget to go all out, and fill the thing with 48-cores and 128gigs of ram, but we did built it half-way up, a nice 24-core setup with 32gigs of ram, that way we can easy expand as the nice appears, which will not be for very long at this rate of growth! -- We also threw in a couple of the world's fastest hard drives! -- Along with alot more powerful tweaks to the server software to handle this baby!

Ok, guys and girls, server is on, system is go, lets party all night, all weekend, all day non-stop, I want to see every thread pass 3,000 posts by the end of this week! -- Tell all your friends to join us, no more lurker outside, the house is big enough to handle everyone, it is OPEN-HOUSE, no special invites, no weird rules or rights you have to earn, everyone is WELCOME!

Nice piece of hardware, Gary. What kind of CPU's and RAM did you stick in? Looks like an Intel socket. Also, which harddrives?

Sorry everyone for the little downtime, but I had to do it, otherwise when the "psdowngrade gets cracked within the next week", we would be SOL!

Anyhow, everyone join in, it might take a few hours before the world sees we have changed, darn DNS takes time to update correctly around the planet, even me up here in Canada sees the old server, I had to edited my HOSTS file to get in!
