I reckon the idea that these payloads are intended for a certain model or a different region might come true. The more stats we gather the better!
Although personally I can't afford to have a Bluray drive in any of my PS3s right now, I'm getting a 5th PS3 (60GB BC) free tomorrow for online (it has a freezing issue and on 3.55) but a working drive, pitty it won't fit any of my other machines!
Did you have a problem with bd movies and fixed it or did you never have a problem? If you did what exactly did you do to fix your problem?

I want bd back but i can live without it if i have to. The wife on the other hand is riding my ass over this and anybody here that is married knows what im going though.

I suspected as much, but I figured I would ask, just in case there was a missing file!

That being said, my understanding is that dev_flash2 was not affected by the downgrade at all, and that would seem to hold true, based on the fact that the registry data on my own device never appeared to change throughout the process, even though I did have to reformat the internal drive at one point.
That being said, what changes were made in the dev_flash folder? I ask because I noticed while browsing through mine that there appear to be a few different folders and files associated with BD playback. If the PS3 is supposed to be able to auto generate the DRL files as has been previously inferred, wouldn't the code needed to generate those files be somewhere in dev_flash, rather than dev_flash2 or dev_flash3?
CECHP is 16MB nand, it shouldn't have the BD problem anyway.
I think it's proven that Slims and Fats with CECHH or greater don't have issues. Still have yet to hear someone contradict that statement.
hey i was wondering if it was possible to downgrade a slim to 3.15
