And happy new year all! I am sadly not drunk, or been partaking of any dodgy substances as I was the designated driver for the evening.

However, I am on a sugar high...

I admit I came on board after the exploit in Oct when I stumbled across a post on my psp hacking site regarding the jailbreak so I'm not too sure who Geohot is. I did read some of the stuff he did and it's mind blowing.

I believe I've heard of Waninkoko from the Wii hacking community. If it's the same person we're in for a treat since from what I've read the Wii community owes him a lot.

Now as to why Geohot would withhold a master key for so long. I believe it would be one of two things. Either the lack of a hacking scene and cries from Linux people about how he killed Linux, or the speculation that this new group overflow will be releasing it anyway. Either way, it's nice.

One thing that has bothered me a great deal is all this talk about the scene being dead and whatnot. It's only been three months. In that time I've seen a ton of stuff happen. Every week there is some kind of breakthrough. To me the scene seems to just be starting. Yet there seems to be some nae sayers (Sony anti-shills?) that every time something big happens, they go on and on about the scene being dead.

What I want to know is, are their IP's being checked? I mean really, they have 1-3 post(s) and their acting like they know everything.

I for one, look forward to CFW in the next six months as every one is tripping over themselves to out perform everyone else. I wish I knew enough to help. All I can do is leech off the pure awesomeness of the dev community and pray it works to my favor.To any one who isn't a dev, let these guys work.

I don't know how to hack, code or anything like that but instead, I help The Scene and do my part by helping others with all the information that I've learned over the past few months and by sharing my knowlege with the noobs, I enjoy what I do and feel that I'm not a leech in the community. If you would like to help contribute, I would do the same, its pretty interesting and keeps you busy and gives you a feeling that your not just a "leech" in the community.

AFAIK thats water under the bridge.I would be more curious how the big K feels about waninkoko code this time around.

Either way, its great to hear he is still active in the scene.
