    Exactly! Whoever does this.....well lets put it this way, we'll have to do a collection or something as they are going to need plenty of stamps, calling credits and a nice change for when they return. You get my point.

    Not a bad idea, but people are naturally greedy and want to do all with the minimum of hassle. Yes they want to play backups, but online. Yes they want to play online, but with the backed up games they have. I don't know where this is all going and where it's going to end up, but I can tell you now. I'll be glad when it gets there!

    maybe we pack them a fully hacked playstation 4 (based on their work, cause sony will repeat their mistakes blabla xD) when they return so they can enjoy a littel bit of the things they started some years ago :P

    I wonder if its possible for someone to find a way of patching the Payloads that we had for 3.41 Jailbreaking on Geohot's Jailbreak (when it eventually gets released?) that would enable Syscalls thus allowing Backup Managers to be used.? Long shot?

    simply: it tricks your ps3 to run unsigned code. And a modified firmware has the purpose to run code signed as if it were sonyīs code, and at the moment no one has done this with an backupmanager so he can use the syscalls to play backups.

    If you upgrade to 3.55 with any of the custom fw, then psn already works normally. I believe the custom fw is just like the ofw but enables homebrew. Correct me if Im wrong.

    But if you are talking about playing backup games on PSN, then you will have to wait awhile for that. If people are too scared to enable backup managers and a way to run backups, which they have every right to be as discussed above, then they sure as hell wont enable backups to be played on psn. I say we have a good month+ until we even see backups enabled on/in the custom fw; just guessing lol.

    Euhrm... the firmware can do just that: trick the ps3 to run unsigned code. It just needs a modified firmware.
