I see they placed the warranty sticker somewhere useful. Wonder if v12 modchips will work with this rev.
Should do...
This version was released a few weeks ago i believe in europe...

hopefully they improved it somehow.
There have been gh-032 boards in australia. It's quite common to see a gh-032 board. I would like to see the laser issues fixed. Lets hope the modchip makers have compatible chips for it.
Edit: cakcetin said that he has installed modchips for it already and he says they do work. I dont know about the laser fix though.

Apparently they removed narrowband support form this model, since all te newer games are broadband only. other than that I don't think there have been any significant changes, except to attempt to break the HDCONNECT possibly (laugh)
Just in case they decide to censor my post for the third time.
I feel much better now that others are tired of their news posts too.
It seem's kinda stupid to keep rereleseing the ps2 when the ps3 is less then a year away.
So it may seem, to you, but apparently the market analysts at Sony disagree. I think this is in keeping with how they've done things earlier too.Originally Posted by lycao
Wasn't the PS2 already available (for quite a while, I believe) when Sony suddenly decided to 'rerelease' the new PSone version of PS1. I'm not sure of the timing for those releases though, but the new PStwo releases do seem to follow the same marketing ideas.
The main idea here is to keep the public interested, by giving them something to whet their appetite. So if the new product isn't ready for release, then give them an old product in a new package, or with new features. Nearly anything will do as long as it 'looks' new, one way or another, without actually requiring much new design and testing. Because if nothing new at all is offered, for too long a period of time, then customers will go elsewhere...

Hmmm...being conservative, I'll keep my v10
v13=Problems, that is the new feature!!!
