    The first time I tried it, 'Attach' did exactly what it was supposed to and gave me the list of games in the edit option. I changed a Mode setting just for the heck of it. The next time I opened the app and tried Attach is when the shutdowns started.

    I booted HDL, and only the game I'd edited was listed. After cleaning my pants, I crossed my fingers that WinHIIP's repair option would fix things. It looks like things are back to normal, but I'm not sure how soon I'm going to give this another shot.

    the HDD being to be indicated in the list when 17 or more it is made to recognize, please try trying with this. Special, it is not the meaning which adds the cord/code, the fact that it is restricted to 16 units it just was removed.

    hdl_dumb+ 0.8.3-6β2
    http://compwiki.s137.xrea.com/up/Source3/No_0388.zip

    hdl_dumb+ 0.8.3-6-β1
    http://compwiki.s137.xrea.com/up/Source3/No_0388.zip

    With this version, it is not the ASPI as a SCSI interface, and the SPTI is used. As the advantage of using the SPTI,
    ? Wnaspi32.dll unnecessary
    ? Microsoft recommendation
    ? In DVD9 correspondence
    ? It is quicker than the ASPI, e.g., it seems, it is listed. Especially we wait for the report from the person who uses the Windows2000 and external drive.

    Then, as for the latest other modification points,
    ? CD/DVD indicatory type of drive " cdX: It modified " in the empty drive letter. Is.

    620 names: 87 [ sage ] contribution day: 2006/02/04 (Saturday) 23:06:45 ID:ON2b+VzS
    It corresponded to the DVD9 with the ISO file and installation from DVD drive by way of the ASPI. To make the ASPI effective, the wnaspi32.dll is necessary. It installs by way of the ASPI, validity ' the cdX:0:0 ' please do the ASPI with setting, restart the hdl_dumb+, select with CD/DVD drive.

    As I mentioned before in another thread: Just edit C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Jens_Profil\Application Data\hdl_dump.conf to something like:

    "disc_database_file" = "C:\\Dokumente und Einstellungen\\Jens_Profil\\Application Data\\hdl_dump.list"
    "enable_aspi" = "yes"
    "last_ip" = "192.168.1.9"
    "limit_to_28bit" = "yes"
    "partition_naming" = "standard"
    "udp_delay_time" = "4"
    "udp_quick_packets" = "15"

    "use_compression" = "no"

    and you get transfer speed round about 2.1Mb with original versin 8.3

    have fun

    I can't find the file "hdl_dump.conf", is it created by hdldump or I must create it?

    It's located at "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\hdl_dump.conf". Where <username> is of course substituted with your login name to windows.

    If this location is hidden on your system, then you can still type it in manually in the windows explorer address bar as long as you know the login name. You can also set windows explorer to show all hidden files. From windows explorer, navigate to "Tools" > "Folder Options..." > "View" (tab), and then click on "Show hidden files and folders" and click "OK" or "Apply". This will allow you to see any hidden files on your system.

    I think this modified version of hdl_dumb is more superior than the official release verion 'cause with this version it also has the option to extract the game from PS2 HD to PC via the network without connecting the PS2 HD directly to the PC (this is one great feature). If you just go to 'Edit and Delete' right click on the game name and you'll see the option to 'Extract', I already tried it and the speed for extracting is about 1.3mbps.
