Tutorial - How to Install Kmeaw CFW - No Bricking + Backups + PSN

Hey Guys..

First time Poster long Time reader here.

Got 2 Questions that u may have a answer for me

1) My PS3 is on FW 3.41 with a dongle, just using it for backups till now so i wonder if should upgrade right now to 3.55, so many CFW's came out over the week so im just confused

2) Will my Games that i already Backupped work with this CFW? i got like 15 Games here that work fine right now, if i need to Backup them again just for the FW Switch i can't see a reason why i should not wait until there is a new FW that Supports already Backupped Games.

Follow the thread isntructions. If you manage Kmea CFW to make it work, then, once you execute Kmeaw Patch (Installed by pkg), you will be able to run backup managers from 341 and run backups as if you were in 3.41. Everything should be working fine.

If you update to 3.55, re-rip won´t be necesary cause hdd keeps untouched, you won´t need to make a backup, all of your saves and trophies will be there.

Anyway, If you have your backups fully working on 3.41, why should you upgrade? Would be better wait some weeks, im sure there will be a stable cfw fully working.

Right, how the **** do i get Gran Turismo Working???? i have copied to the ps3 but just getting black screen, i have ripped a game from the disk which boots and works fine. How do i get gt5 working??? someone please post a tutorial or reply to this and help pleasee

Did you replace with patched eboot.bin and edit param.sfo(stupid question).....well 99.99% u did...and if u did...i recommend not turning on the game from the blu-ray...turn it on without blu-ray..or from the apps/games folder that is created...works dat way.

Right, im a noob yeah lol i kno this so take the piss. i've tried using raw games package thingi cause i presume that patches the eboot? but it wont work so i tried to download a eboot off the net and i defo aint edited the param. lol can u just point me in the right direction please.

Hello everyone.

So, I managed to update this CFW to my PS3 (250gb slim, 3.55ofw) succesfully, also installed backup managers etc and so far everything seems to work ok.

But now my question is that what is proper way to load those backups, if I download some image and transfer files to my PS3 via ftp, do I need to find then 3.55 compatible eboot.bin always for every game or will backup managers handle this directly later? Or how does this part go in future?

Can someone clarify this to me a bit, thanks in advance.

And if anyone could help me as to why when i install a psn game say planet minigolf (for my move ) i just get a error code when i try to load after install?
