GameStop and EB are NOT the same. In my opinion GameStop is much better, but i work for them so my opinion doesnt count does it?

and yeah, at GameStop we try and sell the stuff same day if we can too (if you got a ps2 for 80 bucks and sold it for 130, wouldnt you?) but we do test our stuff at least!
I used to be an ASM at an eb(thank god for the "used to").
Yeah, they are corrupt as all hell...beyond hell.
They don't follow any script when it comes to these things, I've seen situations like this before. And there were times they gave the stuff back, replaced it with the same exact product...or did nothing.
And the times they actually did something about it, where the times that the customer came back in the store screaming and yelling and cursing.
Because of the 15 day waiting period in CA...yeah, they should have waited. And if they didn't card the guy they are supposed to.
So they are at fault for that...but beyond that, management at the store has nothing to do with her getting her stuff back. That's 100% DM's RM's and corporate.
They suck all right, and I left because of that.
All employees at all eb's everywhere are nothing but mindless monkeys. And if they aren't, they end up quitting because it's such a load of bull. And it doesn't help with you have a woman for a manager that doesn't play video games...sleeps around like a dirty dirty whore although she has a boyfriend(i'm honestly pretty sure that is how she got the job!)...actually CRIES when she doesn't meet sales goals...a DM who lies ALL THE TIME...a RM who yells at everyone because he thinks he's tough and bigger then everyone...has a wife and three kids and he slept around too!!
Yeah, that place is far beyond fubar.
Funny too...after I left that store, so did the three guys working under me. One other stayed...and he told me that sales in the past year have fallen by 50%....ha!
Over the time I use to shop at both places EB and Gamestop..Personally I prefer GS over EB mainly due to the fact that GS does not question your authority like EB does..
I know I might sound bias or making an assumption about EB that's the way I see it..
So I do prefer GS over EB any day..Plus the option of policy they carry..
If you don't like the game return it within 7 days no questions asked..Of course it has to be a used game..I have no problem with that..Maddon!
EB didn't used to have that policy, they didn't limit it either. Some people would be on their seventh return of games they didn't like from buying just one game...and since the sales people where idiots and didn't take action to limit it to just a one time return, things had to change.

And as far as GS over EB...I'm going to have to go with neither of them.
I've been to a few GS stores, and the one that pissed me off the most, the idiots behind the counter wheren't helping people, they where screwing around playing armored core 3 on a tv behind the counter. Not only that the one kid was decked out in full on goth make-up and clothing...that sort of thing is just unacceptable.
And i've been to alot of EB's as well...and no one ever knows what they are talking about. same goes for most places...all the smart gamers aren't willing to put up with corperate bs.
Yeah, Actually Good Point! EB was originally sort of a Forefather of Return Policies..Back 3-4 yrs EB had the Return/Exchange/Refund but I hate to admit this, my Dumb ass friends and associates would abuse the policy so Bad that it wasn't funny so in some ways I don't blame EB for anything they do now..

Back then also Gamestop AKA Funcoland did not allow returns only exchange but has changed due to that being so many stores popped up..
Also Yeah some Gamestop employee policy should be address as well but I'm willing to accept it long as certain things are maintained..At least so far all the GS stores I've been had been very curtious and had well dressed code for employees..
I tell ya the Agita People Bring on the society to others is remarkable..
The closest GS in my area is about an hour away...really sad because EB has this area swarmed.
