The judge has granted Sony's request for a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) in the case against Geohot (George Hotz) and the other named defendants. It has also been ruled that Sony has shown sufficient cause to keep the case in San Francisco.
As usual, PSX-SCENE is first with the Wikileaks-esque documents. You'll find them attached.

How much money and how much dick did Sony have to blow to get that to stick?
Shit. Tell me this wasn't there plan. Release 3.56, TRO geohot, see how long it now takes everyone to get around 3.56. Oh well, I'm sure the other devs will still be working on this and releasing the keys all over the net. Sony can't silence this ****up.
Isnt it Ironic that as soon as they release the 3.56 firmware blacklisting Geohots NPDRM key they get the TRO granted...
He should just release it to an anonymous source and state that he released a month a go lol...
Oh well... this blows!!
Actually she didn't decide the jurisdictional issue just that there is a reasonable chance there is enough evidence that she has jurisdiction. The order says there will be a future hearing to discuss the motion. This looks bad though as far as the judges attitude toward the case.
I guess the check cleared.
Dammit so much. The fact that this remains in California shows either 1) Sony paid off the judge, or 2) the judge is completely clueless.

This is good news.
LoL - United Staates showing again the world, that their legal system can't even compete with the most 3rd world countries...
Sounds bad for Geohot (he has to delivery his pc and all data he has), any court-date?
