apparently the mods here don't have a sense of humor
No shit? Wow, you really shot that one down. You could also really nail some other people that are saying "****" this and that, noting that the likelihood of actual sexual intercourse with these people and/or inanimate objects would be slim at best.
You must be receiving advance copies of "No Duh Magazine" before the rest of us.
It's much more about what you are allowed to do with YOUR console, not whether or not people like geohot. It's unbelievable the crap that sony's lawyers have thrown together, and yet they were granted the TRO. Which is ridiculous.
The term "hacking" has gone from trespassing, and breaking into someone else's computer system. To being used for anyone who reverse engineers anything, or modifies something they own. And it it bullshit. Corporations reverse engineer their competitors products all the time, change some stuff, and call it their own... I've seen it done at a few different semiconductor companies I've worked at.
You can do anything you want with your console. You just have be be able to accept the consequences of doing so. Heck, you can even sell Playstations to terrorists in the middle east. See what happens next...

Well, in all 'fairness', we dont really know what was said in the courtroom, we only know the documents presented. They dont tell us what was said to the judge or why she made the rulings she did. They are only 'exhibits' and motions we read, not the actual arguments between both parties.
Everyone here so far who has read those documents, have "presented" in comments their own arguments on what they think should happen and why. ;)
