    What it will do later:

    - It will package the TROPHY directory (in the root of the game)
    - It will package an entire BD games keeping its associated structure
    Wow can't wait for this
so maybe we wouldn't need those funny managers ahaha
Running games from XMB just like it should be !

Well, if they really figured out how to package a game disc you could replace the backup managers with a small "Create PKG from disc" utility. Or perhaps a direct "Install disc to XMB".

I'm going to need to upgrade my internal HDD soon, I hope. ;-)

Uhm, and exactly how do we start pkg file that is bigger than 4Gb? Oo (no idea how it works on PSN if at all, I guess they simply don't have packages that are so big)

Whoa... This is pretty technical stuff here.

So that means a 4-6 gb game could be compressed to a smaller pkg file for use on the ps3?

Thank you Geohot and fail0verfl0w for fully hacking the PS3.

Running retail games a PKG is just usefull, if you can split the files and run the PKG anyways.

though I'm not 100% sure what this actually does...it sounds like when you install games it would make them display on the regular dashboard, just like psn games do.

If so I don't think thats a good idea, I have quite a few PSN games on there, and everytime I go to that part of the xmb I have to wait quite a while while it fetches all the info for all the psn titles. Adding more to it will just slow it even more

You are totally right!! We should just stop all this silly forward progress because it will slow down your XMB loading times.
