As a final note I'd like to revise Tempus' previous announcement and let everyone know that we plan on investigating the possibility of a Tales of Graces F PS3 translation patch. With the recent release of the PSGroove exploit, it is now possible to run homebrew on the PlayStation 3. We can't say yet when it will be done, if at all, but I can tell you that we hope to start work on "R3volution" very soon.

Is there already an undub of the 360 Japanese version? I assume if so then that will cut a considerable amount of the translation time.

They're actually planning to translate Tales of Graces F, they've just used Tales of Vesperia as a PoC as Graces F hasn't been released yet.

AFAIK there are no plans to translate ToV PS3 yet, but as you said, a lot of it is already translated for the X360 version, so I'm sure it will happen eventually, maybe after they've finished with Graces.

hdd loader, game translation, now we need an undub and ps3 will catch up with other consoles in terms of game script hacking

if those kinds of things are happening now, what expects us later on?

The PS3 version of Vesperia seems to have similar file structure than on it's X360
counterpart and the later has an undub for JTAG:ed consoles.

ToV on the PS3 has all the English data left from the X360 version so only the
new content is un-translated. Guess what this means?

Graces is being translated for the Wii, so most of that translation can be used for this! They have quite a bit of it done already.

Because this is a proof of concept for the Tales of Graces translation, not for a Vesperia translation.

There aren't any plans currently to translate the PS3 version of Vesperia.
