A Spanish Scene Site gets hacked! & again! & again! & again! & again! & again!

Today, another scene site in Spain, with lots of spanish forums, got hacked and their forum database was uploaded to various file-sharing sites.

I suggest any member that has an account on here or other forum sites, and used the same password, to at once change it, as these bad people will try to use the database dump to cause more trouble.

Hopefully DemonHades.Org will be able to restore his forum site soon, and continue to support his spanish members, and get back to his work on the PS3 without too much damage done.

It is sad to see this war-web start all over again, the same thing happen in the early days of the PS2 modchips, with mud-slinging, and throwing of lies and half-truths between various sites so they could get the most hits and the traffic.

UPDATE: His site gets hacked again, and this time totally wiped out, and replace with some bad ****.

UPDATE #2: DH has decided to try again, with what looks like an older backup, I wish him all the luck, and hopefully these stupid script kiddies will leave him alone, and he can get back to supporting the spanish scene.

UPDATE #3: DH site get hacked yet again, this time they call him a bunch of bad names and post a link to all his private messages!

I've investigated the SQL dump and I'm confident to say that the stored passwords are both MD5 hashed and salted. So, nothing to worry about but yeah, it's better to change password just in case.

I think the website hijack happened because of demonhades. There's a number of haters that dislike him for many reasons. Before they shut the website down for restoration, DH's latest blog was modified to make himself look like an idiot by the hacker (http://a.imageshack.us/img689/1349/70550069.jpg) xD

It was infact a legendary post lol, anyway things are solved, so do you think the passwords are more or less secure??

Always a good idea to use a range of passwords for sites/forums, shame people feel the need to hack sites though. They would be much better suited to use their skills elsewhere.

Yep, basically it says: "That the FTP was completely wiped out, and the database emptied out for both the forums and blog, and replaced with an index of various "****ographic images", and he is not going to turning the site back on now!"

You can use the cache option of google to see old posts of the page like the following link:

i have seen some information about the hack of the ps3. it is avaiable on this link. i don't really understand everything but there is the description of this microchip and some other things.

is there someone that could recreate it with this informations?
