Proving once again who's working to bring you the best the scene has to offer, forum member crazyc has released an experimental patch for Soul Caliber 2 on HDLoader. It can be found in this thread...

That's because you're using the one with the intro. This patch will work with any version hopefully including original.

this is for hdloader itself, not the game. the fix for the game involved the intro that was released some time ago. I would assume that this will eventually lead to a trigger or option inside of hdloader, possibly fixing other games too.

Eventually, lets just see now if it breaks compatibility with other games (hope not). Same with the new fixed date/timepatch #3. The compatibility-menu is starting to look a bit crammed...

Am I the only one who realizes that the name of the game is always spelled wrong here? It's Soul Calibur, not Caliber. No, it has nothing to do with guns ... ;-)

    DrGast, you are absolutely right.

how about a crc32/md5 checksum on the hdloader that should be used with this patch and proper version numbers when the patch is updated.

    btw

why is cracyc using that lame old IPS patch system with 16mb limit? PPF3 is better and could also include a description, for example, with info on what foo HDLoader to patch.
