It's simple: If Sony expects a forum post to act as evidence, so can Geohot. Basically, common sense tells the judge that Sony's evidence is hearsay, at best, and inadmissible - otherwise, they have to accept BOTH sides' "evidence", which is contradictory.
Even a paid off judge won't risk letting that sort of thing snowball.
Sounds like Geohot's got some very competent legal people - far better than Sony's Keystone Kops act. That makes it tougher for a bought judge to continue the charade.
