Sony Patches PSN Bypass Methods, Blocks PS3 DNS Hacks

It happens after every firmware update so it should be no surprise but, apparently, all the other sites think it's news.

In case you hadn't noticed, Sony has patched the proxy and PSN bypass methods following the release of the revised PS3 Firmware 3.56 rendering the PS3 DNS hacks useless once again. Shocking, huh?

Yeap, tried to get online and System update is requiered message showed up. oh well it was good run!

Many users have been logging into PSN with a firmware lower than 3.56 via a variety of methods (DNS, proxy, logan5 tool etc). As of today, all of these methods are no longer effective.

Bear in mind some proxies will allow you to log into PSN and perform non-online play related tasks such as sync trophies, message friends etc. but online play is no longer possible for the moment.

Does anyone know if they use the same sttings when they release new Firmware? We could at least get it back then.

Everytime Sony releases a new firmware update this trick will work. It's already worked through 3.41, 3.50, 3.55, & 3.56.
