Not entirely accurate. Not sure where the psx server is, or if the subpoena would be state or federal, but the whole fight to this point is CA courts... if a ... NY website gets a CA subpoena, they can respond by asking how CA has jurisdiction over them. Then psx scene can have the same fight that's being had already over the issue of jurisdiction. CA courts can't order some random person in ... FL to do anything. Federal courts... that's more complicated.

I don't hack my PS3 because it's a basic part of my household, but I'm looking for a backwards-compatible one cheap so I can swap and hack the other. I'd like it to be ruled legal. It should be ruled legal. We pay hundreds of dollars for these things, and then Sony wants to tell us what we can and can't do with them? If we were cloning them that would be one thing. If ... we were the army trying to buy a ton of them... Microsoft Wouldn't Sell Xboxes To U.S. Army - The Consumerist New US military computer made from nearly 2,000 PlayStation consoles - Telegraph that would be another. In the long run, as tech becomes more and essential, these companies are taking more and more control over daily life if they can restrict them. That's not copyright, it's monopoly and slavery.
WAH Sony losts completly his mind
"Let's start a war agains EVERYONE!"
this is ridiculous. must really be just a marketing strategy
as always said, bad advertising is advertising anyway?
everyone I know there ps3 has lasted around a year or so I said I wouldn't buy another sony product and they have always been slightly over priced but the way this company is behaving is very unprofessional and everyone I know feels the same way I'll never buy of them again
I will buy the NGP with the sole purpose of hacking it.

the owner of psx scene needs to lose some data from their servers quickly before they get the papers through, they cant hand over what they havent got,and we all know how often these sites get dos attacked these days and lose lots of important data dont we...Its called playing as dirty as the enemy, poker if you like.get a good coder in and destroy evidence.i dont really need to tell you this i hope,im sure your savvy enough to do the right thing, canr beleive sony are dumb enough to give the sites a heads up on what they intend on doing.Anyway,if the real coders have any sence, they would always release their stuff from an internet cafe, its being clever that wins dirty fights,im sure they are more than aware of this i hope.Shame i cant code,i would run rings round em,it would be a laugh really
Playstations new slogan.
"The console is unhackable...or we'll sue you."
Just dig your grave deeper Sony. Apparently Sony thinks that an extremely small amount of user would like to be able to do what they want with their PS3 so they can't just make it seem like this never happened. I guess Sony just doesn't know how to bite the bullet or a mini gun is being shot at them.
no need to...nothing hosted here is illegal.

They can't erase every single thing on the web related to hacking the ps3, that's insane.
