Sony has confirmed that it will launch 250GB PlayStation 3 Slim console in November this year. Back in August, Sony had announced PS3 Slim 120GB for $299 (Rs. 14,400 approx.) and now, 250GB HDD loaded PS3 Slim will cost $349 (Rs. 16,800 approx.). North American consumers will be the first ones to get his 250GB PS3 Slim model from November 3 onwards.

The news about 250GB PS3 Slim model CECH-2000B was dug up on the same day when Slim was announced at GamesCon 2009 Expo.

Sony PlayStation 3 Slim doesn't offer installing games on the hard drive. However, Sony is pushing PlayStation Network's 2300 movies through the video delivery service. Some of these are available in High Definition. The PS3 Slim won't have any game bundled for its U.S. consumers but for Europe region, Sony might bundle a game or may be two.

I just want to correct a typo from their site.
It is the "GamesCom" (in Cologne, first time this year).
GamesCon is the "GC/GamesConvention" (in Leipzig, since 2002 thought...).

I believe no-one in Germany would pay 50€ more for a PS3-Slim, if there is an HD with 120-130 more GB.
Rather they buy a "normal" Slim and an Extra-HD,... Sony need to bundle atleast one game with it.

Especially since we have a few "double-bundles" here with 2 games, but for the same price.

    Yepp, I know.
Both the GC-GamesConvention (Leipzig ~100km/65miles in north of my location) and the GamesCom (Cologne/Köln is ~400km/250miles donīt know it exactly... in the west of my location) are in Germany.

The physical space/place of Leipzigs GC-Fair was simply too small for all those people which want to visit it (2007~96000 and 2008 there were over 120000 and it ever was growing...) + around Leipzig there is a max. of 4-5Million people, which reach this fair easily and fast.

In Cologne there are up to 20Million people (*1), which can reach it fast and (relative) easy + the fairs place in cologne is much bigger.

(*1 ...one reason, why there is no new Lego-Land in Tokio [14-15 Mio.], but in "Ruhr" [region in Germany, where a lot of big cities are... It is much like one big city, but still "administrated" like seperate citys.] it is easier to reach even more...)

So,... Thatīs why we have 2 Gamer-Fairs now.
GC (Leipzig) seems to go into the Handy-Game and Online-Games-Direction, where the GamesCom goes the old GamesConvention-Way.

I hope this is not talking about the feature to install part of the game onto the HDD like the current games do (MGS4, SF4, GTA4, etc) or I'll never buy a slim PS3, as the blu-ray drive is way too slow to give acceptable loading times.

but why pay so much for a 250gb when you can get the 120gb and just upgrade the hdd......now that makes more sense to me.

Yepp, especially when you have the choice between "PS3-Slim 120GB + 2Games/299€" vs. "PS3-Slim 250GB/349€".
I would take the two extra-games, buy another HD and maybe would re-use or sell the HD, which comes with the PS3.

    Hell,... What is that?
~300€ for a PS3-Slim with two games vs. ~350€ only for a Slim and a HD, which is bigger...leaving the 2 games out? lol
How more would they rip us all off?

Next we'll see is the "never back-coming PS2-Backward-compatibility" for 50€/$ (yeah,... Like we all know,... 1€=1$... Atleast for Sony. Even with the highest "Taxes" available in the US, it is still cheaper... This example shows, how similar things seem to Sony,... "not released anytime anymore", means translated from "$0nY" to "English": "...maybe released later, but if it is...you have to pay for it...").

If the PS2-BC is provided by full hardware-support in your PS3, it has all goodies the PS3 can have (except Card-Reader maybe, but I think it was in this model).

    -(High/Higher) PS2-BC
    -PS3-Linux
-Install games to HD (is that really not possible with Slims? I just canīt believe that... For what did they fit a bigger drive in there??? Isnīt it a game-console anymore, which has a HD to "support" faster loading-times? Wasnīt that a "neccessity"? Is the HD only there for Entertainment-Stuff, or what? Only for a Movie- and Music-Collection. What else should use the HD, if games do not and Linux isnīt supported anymore on this models?).
-...("Shiny look", or whatever you see as a pro...)
