Sony 2 / Hackers 0 = Sony updates PSN, blocks all bypass!

Starting this afternoon, PSN was updated, so previous bypass like the simple DNS change over to 67.202.81.137 has now been blocked, along with other forms of proxy tools like Logan5's program.

If you wish to use your PS3 online now, or any PSN feature, you will have to update v3.42, and forgot about using for now any of those PSGroove, PSJailbreak, PSFreedom type of devices.

I have not see any update yet from the owner of the DNS private box, that tons have been have been using, you can check here and see if maybe he has figured out a work-around, but please don't all go tweeting him at once, he does have a life, and was doing this out of the kindest of his heart, for all the millions of PS3 owners wishing to stay online, using the nice "Jailbreakable" v3.41 firmware!

And everyone should at least by thankful for the time they so-far have been able to stay online, but Sony seems to be HOT on track in cutting out your options to stay on v3.41.

i'd say it's sony 2, hackers 2.

1 point for hacking their "unhackable console"
and another for humiliating them by allowing it to run on almost any device

Lol. I only play one game online and that MW2 and I don't even play it that much. Oh well I'll play offline for a while. I still got NGS2 master ninja to rip my hair out about!!!

It's good to see the war going on, for my viewing pleasure anyways, atleast we know there are new ideas being thought of. Just wish they could atleast let us jailbreak for a while.

I think Sony is pushing the hackers to their limits. Sony will suffer the wrath of their doing.

at the moment i dont think sony are winning anything
we knew that at the moment you either have psn or you have homebrew
so sony are still down

Was able to get online at 4.45pm GMT, by 5.45PM. Gone. What a bummer !!
