CALL OF DUTY... the old version was hackable...(V1.0) until the update... so if we changed this to latest version it should allow to play without the need of the actual update...

also after looking again... you can change the needed firmware version... so like the old psp you can play newer firmware games on older ps3 system... things are really looking up for ps3 scene

eh yea changin the version does work to a certain degree
but changing the firmware version will not just work like that for games
the only way i can think of it working is if you edit the sfo before you even launch the game
as once the system is told it needs to update the sfo will not matter anymore
as it will ask u forthe uppdate no matter what u do even if the eboot.bin is completely mising adn the game shouldnt run at all it will still ask for an update
means theupdates are controlled by something else
and not the task list as i deleted everytthing in there and when i made a new tasklist exactly the same as the old nithing changed.
so we need t o find out what ontrols the need to update outside of the sfo inorder to use this to play games out of version
