My theory
Sony sent multiple donations that second from different emails. All for $1.00USD. So technically they could have taken a screenshot any of them. (Digitally the screenshot would be the same)

It's maybe just me but I find it ironical that Sony's lawyers are quite happy to reproduce copyrighted content from the net without permission in an attempt to build a case to protect their copyrighted content.

Even this very site clearly states at the bottom of every page that "All posted material is Copyright of their respective owners". Perhaps those people whose posts where used without permission should lodge a cease & desist letter with Sony.

Thats a very good point! Maybe geohot's lawyer should be made aware of this tidbit of info, but i bet he already knows.

You have to take in consideration, those werent published by Sony to the general public via a web blog, they were retrieved from a Court or Legal website where someone had to have a password to obtain copies of court docs. It was then published publicly, since it is public record and any court docs will have addresses of defendants/plantiffs on them.

This is so that they argue that the damage is grave.

If sony see that pic they will probably count it as hard evidence and take a printed copy in to court!!!

By the way, I don't accept donations for the countless seconds I spent working hard to edit that picture but if "anyone" feels the need to donate anyway make it more than just a measly ****ing dollar you cheap bastards.
