SCEA starts court action against USA PSJailbreak!

First Australia, and now Sony in America is jumping into the action, by filing a court case against the USA reseller's of the PSJailbreak devices.

Sony's suit against Zoomba LDC accuses ***************.com of breaching Copyright laws by selling the device.

PSJailbreak allows users to bypass the PlayStation 3's copy protection and play games installed on the hard drive.

Sony is also accusing Zoomba of violating the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and of Trademark Infringement. It is seeking an injunction to block the sale of the device, as well as damages.

heres the email i got back from my spanish supplier when i asked about this.

Hello,
Maybe there was a miscommunication. The PS jailbreak team has announced they
will ship the product to us September 6th. This Monday and we will get it
Tuesday. So you should get it wednesday, but not last week but the next one!
Not 2 days ago.
The PS jailbreak team are changing a few vital features which will be
imperative to the future. The support and communication from this team
seems to be top notch, we expect great things from these guys. While at
first we heard the feature would come with the delay, we got upset but the
reason for delay makes it worth waiting an extra week.
Also, I can confirm that there are no problem in Europe and Sony have not
taken anyone to court in Europe. Sony has sent letters to a few shops but
nothing that can be done legally to stop it. Also we are not in he
Netherlands nor in the US nor in Australia.

As far as shoppsjailbreak goes, Now are they going after the 124.95 psjailbreak they are selling or the one for 119

This is a moot point. You can't sue the manufactures of these Atmel chips and everyone can make their own now

Very interesting. Why is Sony using so much power into legal treatments ? Maybe the PSjailbreak (or PSgroove) is not so easy to patch like we initial thought...

Well, how much? Sony's legal department found a case that they could surely win and viola...

Even if they can't stop jailbreak from spreading, they still have to teach PSJBT a lesson. For others not to do it with PS4.
