The content is in all 3 releases of the game.

It would be more understandable if it was ONLY in the ps2 edition (where the game was originally developed)
because then it could be convincing that they made the content, but decided to disable it at the last second.

But with the current situation, one has to wonder why would Rockstar port the same unused content, to both the pc and xbox, when they surely knew the content would stay disabled???

I think Rockstar did it intentionally as a PR stunt, and intended for people to enable the content themself.

Honestly, America is messed up. You can chop off a breas and get a pg-13, but kiss one on camera and instant nc-17.

If a woman gyrates her hips during a sex scene on camera,it's an INSTANT NC-17.

If a movie even goes so far as to suggest that qomen can take an active and enjoyable role in sex, it's an nc-17. (see "Coming Soon", the female version of AMerican Pie, where women are on a quest for men who can satisfy them in bed. it had to go straight to unrated DVD)
You're still not able to get to the sex scene unless you hack it. So it's still bullshit how they reacted to this.
BTW.. ESRB does nothing... How do little kids get the games? THE ****ING PARENTS BUY THEM IT BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER THAN A BABYSITTER.

So far, I had one angry parent come into my store, and demand that
I remove the MODchip from the PS2, as her young son was always
playing "HOT COFFEE", and without the MOD, she thinks he will not
be able to play it. Oh'boy... It starts...

This is almost as dumb as banning software that can be hacked..... or software patents...

It all boils down to they had a feature that was decided that it would cause a major problem with the ESRB... and instead of taking hours to rewrite that section of code they just patched around it... I've done that with features being worked on but not done... any decent hacker could reactivate those sections...

My biggest question is did a rockstar employee leak the info on how to unlock the scene or was it truely hacked... if an employee did it then Rockstar could be held accountable... if not the board needs to mellow out...

also, i believe this is something used in almost any software on the market.
    examples?

take the firmware for a pioneer 470 dvd player. there are so many features which can be enabled by patching the firmware (modded firmwares).
features which pioneer will propably not activate in 1000 years.

    IMHO....

Rockstar should have pulled the code from their game before it went to master press, plain & simple. They may have disabled the code for a PR stunt, *OR* so they could get a lower rating. Eitherway, if they pulled the code they would have been fine. All AR/GS did was reverse engerineer it.

I don't see why Rockstar doesn't send out "Adult Only" stickers, slap 'em on the Discs, then also master/print out Mature Only discs, so then stores can carry both or at least until the AO runs out. I mean, seriously, a recall?. A 2-cent sticker would fix everything.

Rockstar did not recall the game, they changed the rating, but
the problem is most stores like EB, Walmart, etc. for not setup
to sell "adult" games, plus in most states and cities you need
a "extra" license or premit to sale "adult" items, and those stores
don't have them, as such the only solution is to PULL THE GAME
from the selves. Only places were the game can stay with the
new STICKER is in an Adult-Only video store (trouble is, most
of those stores carry ****-only, not video games), or a video
rental place which has closed area for "adult" films, can move
    the game to that area.

Here is the comment from Take-Two from them is removing the
    hidden code:

"There is sex content in the disc," Take-Two spokesman Jim Ankner told The Associated Press.

"The editing and finalization of any game is a complicated task and it's not uncommon for unused and unfinished content to remain on the disc."
