You can still share with community but we need to keep shit locked down. Look at the iPhone Dev team... Do you see them releasing source code and fully detailed exploit inner workings public? Nope. They share only what they have to , so people can get up and running.
So on that note, I will not post any new threads on any new advances until a group of people collectively think the time is right.
For example, if i had an exploit for 3.50 i would not release it until a few new firmware came out, so i could be 100% the exploit has not been found out by QA process and we have a hope in hell to move forward with it in the future.
Think about it dev's ... we need some collective action
And no i'm not a self righteous prick like math can be at times. I will share anything i discover, when the timing is right

Guilty as charged! I sold GTA on fleabay back in '06 for approx 50 GBP before the patched version hit the shelves

that's a bit hard to believe that a save exploit would be a kernel exploit. it's been said again and again that games do not run with that level of priviledges.
even on psp you cannot get a kernel exploit by using a savefile. and ps3 has tighter security.

I was a little exited at first, and then i read the source was demonhades.
It could be real though but..... demonhades.
And unless this exploit would allow us to do something we can't already do, i would say keep this one under wraps. Then again perhaps too much info about it has already been shared that could allow sony's bloodhounds to sniff out the exploit... hmmm....

Thing is, holding back a possible 3.50 hack because it might get patched in 3.51 is also screwing over the end users, it's a fact that the scene will shrink if we are stuck with this 3.41 only hack for another 6 months or so and that will benefit nobody but sony. Yes, it'll probably be patched when it's released but so what? One single exploit can't be relied on for the rest of the PS3's lifespan, it just doesn't work that way.
Obviously crying like a girl abot it in public like DH is doing is screwing over users and devs alike though, that just guarantees it'll be patched in 3.51 or whatever comes next.

I agree with your post as well don't get me wrong. Its a balancing act, you can't give stuff up too easily but you can't sit on it too long or as you mentioned people will move away from this scene.
The issue everyone needs to understand is exploits don't grow on trees. There are a very finite amount (especially hardware ones) so burning one too soon is like betting all on red if you ask me

The way I see it demonhades knows math is able to utilize this exploit and probably nothing more and he is trying to eek out more juicy info from him so that he can claim it as his own (exploit) or so that the scene can gleam enough to use it.
Just my 2 bob's worth. (that's 10 pence for you young kiddiez out there)

I picked up a FIFA game at my local Game shop for 99p, I hoped it would be '09 but sadly it was '08. Oh well, I'm sure I can get it for cheap too xD
