RUMOR: Possible Kernel Exploit in FIFA '09

Norda informed the users here on PSX-SCENE early this morning on a very good news item that was recently posted on the PSGroove.com site, in that it looks like there is an Kernel Exploit floating around out there in Fifa '09, but again for reasons unknown it is not being shared to the public.

I do not know what all this means, but maybe someone else does

It appears Demon-Hades may not even know the full specifics of the exploit himself, which would explain his vagueness. According to a log posted by Jack90, on Elotrolado, Demon-Hades is calling out Mathieulh because he won't release this Fifa 09 exploit.

Why not talk about the exploit that brings the FIFA09? I answer you because you are not interested to leave the soft while you can exploit to make money in hardware, is easier to play with the ignorance of people, all people are happy to see that you can do what you both hate PLAY BACKUPS.

All i can say is , wont these guys give it a rest and work together!

Only problem is from my understanding DH is a big liar.

Would be nice if this is true and it does get released. I don't believe holding onto the exploit and never releasing. What good does that do and why even look for it, just to say hey i got it. Seems like the Iphone and PS3 have some of the same problems. But at least even geohot comes through in the end even if he strung us along.

its demonhades... no one takes this guy seriously, I bet he doesn't even know how to actually do a full mem dump so he can use the exploit. this coming from him i would take with a TON of salt.

The reason is that you want to release an exploit at just the right time, when a certain number of key games or a firmware with a new useful feature comes out. If you release it at the wrong time then they can patch it up and the games will have new security on them.

Of course if they have more than one exploit then I'm on your side of just release the damn thing!

Precisely. Everyone needs to understand exploits don't grow on trees, there are a very finite amount of them and should be treated with the utmost care until the right point in time.

Look at the iPhone Dev Team, they are sitting on a few good exploits, you don't see them using them all in 1 shot with their pwnage tools.

They actually held back from using an exploit when Egohotz came back to release his latest exploit. They realized burning 2 exploits at once was retarded
