PS2Dev'r extraordinare Gawd has jus informed me that he has finally released his port of (X)Rick Dangerous for the ps2. His work is a direct port of the popular Xrick made by Bigorno. You can get all the details and download the ELF, pre-made iso image and the source code at his website.

I remeber playing this game on my Atari ST, a friend of mine who use to play this all the time and he was really good at. It's a really good game, so if you don't have it yet I recommand you get it.

yeah but only if using the directionnal cross (sometimes pressing on a direction doesn't have an effect) , the joystick plays fine however

Also the game is a bit slow in PAL mode, i had to put the console in NTSC or PAL60 (matrix config menu) to make it run smoothly^^

that game is hard! but still fun.
    i agree =)
when i used to play it on amiga i maybe reached the 2nd level twice but that's it

    Hey.

I just wanted to speak about a few things. First, the analog joystick code is kinda jerky. When the joystick is pulled to a direction, and then let go, I start getting weird values from the playstation (including getting the same old value sometimes, when the stick is completely centered.) I have no idea why this happens, but I will fix this for the next game I'm working and then I will surely release another version of XRick.

As for inconsistency between pal/ntsc, that's my bad. The sleep between frames is constant (as in original xrick,) but the vsync changes it all. I will fix this in the next version (does it bother everybody? It's 7ms a frame, which I guess is quite alot

    Okay.
I have a few days off from work. I thought I'd finally finish Heart of The Alien, Flashback or Another World 3DO. With my experience, I'll probably be watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit in repeat mode.

Thanks everybody for downloading the iso.
