If using base64 online encoder / decoder

Paste the .fla content to the BASE64 TO DECODE box and click Process now button. It will say Binary data detected! Click 'DOWNLOAD BINARY FILE NOW' in the other box. So do that...click the DOWNLOAD BINARY FILE NOW button and save your file as something like THANKYOUPSXSCENE.FLA and then remove/reinsert your psjailbreak and flash with that file...

Good news to other distributors. I took one of the many "broken" ps3jailbreak exchanged with customers. After flashing them with the fixed upgrader_#####.fla they work again :-)

i've edited the config file, downloaded the bin and renamed it .fla but I still get the error : 'could not open .fla file'

Here's how to fix your updater...

1.First Install the updater get the program from here :

Make sure you install it for Everyone not just you as a user.

2.Open that file: PSUpgrader.exe.config in Program Files\PS Upgrader\PS Upgrader
with any text editor, i used getdiz nfo/text editor...
Find this: maxStringContentLength="8192"
and Replace it with : maxStringContentLength="65535"

3. Download the prog_serialxxx & upgrader_serialxxx files with the PSUpgrader, copy the files on your desktop
or any folder of your choice.

4. Upload those two FLA's files to this site for example: Base64 Online - base64 decode and encode one by one then download the decoded files from there.

5. Then finally plug your dongle and select the upgrader_serialxxxx file for putting your ps3 in service mode
and if you want to revert back your dongle to it's original state just replug your dongle and use that file: prog_serialxxxxx



And now if you follow that tutorial in the readme you should be able to downgrade with an official psjb and some required files...

i had the same but when i downloaded the decoded FLA's files on my desktop and then used them like that with psupgrader it worked !!!

thanks, worked a treat with dos. Actually it would probably have worked with the GUI as I had the fla named prog_serialnumber.fla... I changed it to psx.fla and it worked...

I guess maybe the '_' might have been the issue for me.

P.S. My dongle is a 'sample' dongle but it seems to have updated succesfully.. is there anyway to test these without a 3.50 ps3?

Edit: nope, wasn't the underscore.. GUI still doesn't work for me.
