PSPSDK 1.0 Released! –
07-01-2005,07:53 AM
Although i dont cover the psp scene at all this is a major milestone for homebrew coding on the psp. Here is a clipped quote from the original rather large post by oobles at ps2dev.org.
A little less than two months after hello world for the Playstation Portable was released, a small group of the developers from the ps2dev community have released the PSP Software Development Kit (PSPSDK). This is a huge step forward, making it easier for homebrew developers to use their PSP to create new software and games.
....
Documentation for the libraries are also provided, and can be found in the doc/ directory of the PSPSDK source and binary distributions.
A library for Make (build.mak) is also included to provide an easy way to build simple programs and libraries. See any PSPSDK sample program for details on how build.mak is used.
PSPSDK 1.0+beta is availble for download
here . If you would like to keep upto date with the latest version, you can also access our subversion repository at "svn://svn.ps2dev.org/psp". We have also setup a new list to monitor subversion commits and submit bug reports which you can join at lists.ps2dev.org.
And as usual credit where its due. Thanks to mrbrown, Tyranid, Warren, ooPo, rinco, addressd and everyone involved in contributing to pspdev. And of course thanks to OObles at ps2dev.org for the news post.
