guys a i have a noob question. Did this software can do to pkg of dynamic theme to work ? I have one Dynamic theme (famous Afrika Dynamic Theme) with pkg file but i can install it...

Nope thats the first thing i tried.They show up as edat files and i fpt them over to the ps3 but to no avail.If it comes out as a 1.raw file that means it's too big in letters and you'll have to reduce it.

but if it's a signed package, couldn't we just put it on a none jailbroken PS3 without CFW and install it?

Has anyone taken a look at decrypting and extracting a PSone title pkg from the PS store?

I'm curious if it just contains an image of the PS1 disc along with some other files if we could swap the image of the PS1 disc with the image of another title we own thus creating a working PS1 backup manager?

OK my first post here, let's spice things up a little.

Indeed there are lots of things coming out lately, but I think everyone is refreshing this page for The Next Big Thing and that is Custom Firmware such as Dark Alex coded/patched for the PSP.
None of these super smart hackers are working on these, so publishing all those keys was just useless.

People use the word homebrew too often since the PS3 is fully hacked.
Come on, do you really want Emulators on your PS3 to play games you have already played 10+ years ago? Why not dust off or buy the console and games for a few bucks on Ebay?
Or do you want to use your PS3 as Media Center to watch your downloaded (so pirated) movies/tv shows? The PS3 is an capable Bluray player, buy your movies!
Or do you want to run Linux on the PS3? Don't you have a PC already to run that OS?

If Geohot and fail0verflow team hate piracy they should have told Sony to close the holes in their security and certainly not publish any keys.
They now have opened the gate and sooner or later piracy will start to become a bigger problem on the PS3.

if game developers follow what some of those black screen games have done e.g prince of persia forgotten sands, then piracy wont be a problem! i for one dont want to see piracy flourishing on the ps3
