PSN Download Manager 3.71

A new version of PSN Download Manager has been released via PS3News.

This is an update to inform users that PSN Download Manager 3.71 is released, and to clarify it is still functional on PS3 Firmware 3.61 released this week.

Download: PSN Download Manager v3.71 - We're working on many other projects as well which you may find useful, so keep checking every few days

Preparing the Application:

Setting Up Your Console:

1. Start Your PlayStation Console
2. Under Network Settings, Choose Custom.
3. When it asks for Proxy, set it to Use.
4. Enter your IP Address given by running Internal IP.bat
5. Enter the port as 27
6. Save the changes, start PSN DM.exe

Using the Application:

1. Start a download from the PSN
2. When it says "Please Wait" Press Circle

You'll notice it is now displayed in the Download Manager, once finished, proceed with the following to Transfer onto the PlayStation...

3. Go back and Download the Content / File again, it should transfer from the PC...

Just so I'm certain, will this allow me to connect to PSN with 3.55 and download my PSN titles that I have been locked out of? I have a few games that I forgot to download from PSN on my PS3 before we lost all PSN access a while ago.

Nope, just confirmed this. Sadly, it won't allow you to connect to PSN if you couldn't already. It just makes downloading faster for those who can.

No unfortunately this program only let's you download stuff that you find on the pan store and download it to your pc via a proxy, that is all it does, I think Its a bit silly releasing it now because the psn store is not even up yet.

If I download stuff from my psn account on a friends non jailbroken ps3 with this to his pc would I be able to put the content onto my jailbroken ps3?
Or is there some sort of DRM on content that would prevent this?

no, it's not that easy, you need to activate the content first before it's even playable otherwise it will be just in demo mode, this program was only useful for rebug firmware, but now that is closed this has no use, unless you want to download demos to your cfw ps3, also you can't install pkg files on a non jailbroken ps3.

Thanks for the quick reply man. I suspected it might not be that easy, no harm in asking anyway, dying to play the new vegas expansion dead money, I just want the level cap!

What pkg files are you talking about sir? (I was under the impression that the downloads go straight to your pc using this, so no need for pkg files on the non jailbroken ps3) Apologies for the noobishness! :P
