Well, I guess I'll be the first one to say... KARMA, B*TCH. Sony I hope you treat your customers with respect after this incident. :P
they needed experts to come in to figure out which ip's accessed data on the server they shouldn't have? so sony couldn't even diagnose legitimate connections to non-legitimate connections on their own servers. and had to get an outside company to tell them what's going on with their own network? OK makes perfect sense.
A LOT of people working for Sony, are now going too find themselves without a job because of this. But like the old saying goes, "KARMA A *****!"
" It was necessary to conduct several days of forensic analysis, and it took our experts until [April 25] to understand the scope of the breach."
I love that line ... The scope of the breach... How about that your system got hacked. You got pwned. . anything on the server(s) has been potentially stolen... and now.. that data has been out in the wild for the last 5 days on some underground ebid site for sale to the highest bidder piece by piece or on lots...
Funny though since if they sell my information, they can do nothing with it. It got banned, funny thing though is that I still got an email from Sony about the server hacking. "We banned you forever but still are concerned about your info" has Sony gone nuts?
Do u think that we will still be able to access PSN with the Rebug CFW for 3.55?
Sad to say man, probably not, at least not for some time, depending on the devs and how far they want to push control.. Even now as everyone knows, the PSN is down for security purposes, and being rebuilt from the ground up.. I am sure its in SONYs intent to keep CFW off the PSN.. When or if the PSN ever opens up again, its going to be with concerning stipulations for certain.. Who knows, devs on the PS3 scene are inventive.. :o
The fact that a mass of private information was accessed illegally, despite threats and public knowledge about unencrypted credit card data, SONYs name has become blemished.. SONY transformed themselves into a common urban legend, as a corporate virtual hooker, skirt up and legs in missionary style.. :p
So, where is our Lil-Hitler "Turkish the SONY Troll" commentary in this one..?
Cannot argue about Karma.. Damn glad i removed my Credit Card# from the PSN network before this happened.. ;)
Lol. This will seriously effect the PS4. Anyway, I'm not going to say it serves them right, because they have every right to defend their product. However I do think they went about fixing the problem the wrong way. they should have made embraced the PS3's flaws and made it a more open platform, which I'm sure would have boosts it's popularity in the long run.
