PSJAILBREAK Update Released To Dealers - PSDOWNGRADE site goes Live!

Can anybody that's not the vendor confirm this is real?

Because it implies two things -

1. That somebody got downgrade working, a big thing in itself
2. That there's an exploit for fw 3.50

And if there's an exploit for 3.50, who the hell cares about downgrading to 3.41???
Doesn't add up.

There's not even an announcement on the PS Jailbreak site that they have a product that does this, let alone resellers.... fishy!

Once downloaded run setup.exe
During install it will prompt you to choose a usb device
make sure your PSjailbreak is connected
Choose unknown device
Once install is complete
Open psupgrader icon on your desktop
And click my serial number

Yeah that's kinda nice but not really.

Certainly not the 3.50 support they implied it would be though I guess it means more people can join the JB scene now it's not helping progress much.

Hey, let me spend $100-110 on "original" jailbreak device, then let me spend another $40 on software to downgrade the PS3.

I can buy a second-hand PS3 that's running 3.41 for less than $150. Well, probably even for $100 if I look harder.

Pretty good business model. I don't see any flaws.

edit: very bad quality video, but seems that USB device puts PS3 into service mode. Now, that's interesting (but still not worth $150 )

Thanks, I added the "final" sample dealer installer package to the first post.

But as for updates, I going to wait until their preview file is released or a video. -- I again hope it not just v3.50 spoofing and PSN access. -- Yikes!

**** it, I updated the "first post" in this thread with all the latest soon-to-be-broken promises, and make it a sticky in this forum for now, so people will see it, since it no long on the "front page".

IF and only IF the so-called "proof" and "preview" turns out to be something more useful then our wonderful PSN access and v3.50 spoofing, then I close this thread and make a new one, but I think that will be a long long long long wait!

Anyway, its a question of days, weeks at maximum before this piece of soft is cloned.

Edit: if you look carefully, the camera gets off the screen too much. Could have just replaced the console to make it look like he downgraded to 3.41. The red factory thing can be added easily with a video software. I think its fake.

If video is correct, PS3 goes into factory/service mode. I have no idea what factory/service mode can do, but I'd presume it should do anything jailbroken 3.41 can do, plus much much more.

So, no idea why they'd downgrade.
