psgroove uses the chip's onboard usb controller. The chip in the schematic dos not have a usb controller, so psgroove would have to be rewritten to work on it, therefore the code is not working on this chip.

The PS groove(revised HEX) allows you to backup disks just like the PSJB though through backup manager.

I think his point is the fact at this time the current PSGroove code, patched or otherwise, will not work with the design in the OP, as it has no HW USB.

Is it not that hard to re-write the code to make it work, and use a jtag programmer.

This thread is for those wishing to mass-produce they own system, not for a one-off program it on your pc and then go play on your PS3.

If that is what you are looking for then you need to wait until those now out of stock Teensy or AT90usbkey boards become available again in a few months!

I have a 4 year old daughter, and a 2 year old son who would love to scratch my discs if I let them anywhere near them. Ever thought about putting them out of their reach? Come on mate, pull the other one

OK fair enough but just to clarify for you, the updated version of PSGroove does work with the backup manager. It does everything the PSJB does and infact, it's actually better.

Now all you need to do is find a bloody board, which is no mean feat at this stage.
