PSJailBreak Schematics! - Build your own professional clone!

Now with the release of PSGroove, this may not be needed, but pictured below is what looks like a indeed fully working diagram of either the retail PSJailbreak dongle itself, or the maybe one of the soon to be released clones, to me it looks like maybe the x3jailbreak device.

The schematics use the smaller Atmega16 chip, compare to the bigger version used by PSGroove, the Atmega32, but looking at the code it should be possible to fit it in the smaller version.

Combined these two releases and you can become your own professional PSJailBreak clone within a matter of a few days, just think up a name (Sorry, PineDrive is already taken!), and build a crappy website and take pre-orders!

If the x3jailbreak.com guys had any sense they'd use open source code on their chip rather than the already dead psjailbreak beta code.... Oh and let the price.. I've some 18f chips laying about

Jeez, PSJB are officially screwed. I'd be very surprised if they shipped anything at all now. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out that they had dissapeared with all of the money that they've already collected from resellers. After all, no one knows who the hell they are.

If I was thinking about ordering in bulk from them before..I'm not now.

anyone think an old Atmega128 would work? or possibly the AVR-X (I think Atmega163 maybe?) 8515? 2313? Atmega8L?
lol, lots of those around. Most modders probably do. Seems the atmega code is pretty universal, I got an AVR MKII to program with, 6 or 10 pin SPI.

Just would like confirmation that one of these chips would suffice. Maybe the old OpenWii chips could be used? they were USB updatable - just plug the chip back in and update the update disc to contain the Atmega8L code - bammm!

I haven't thought about the AVR-X in a LONG time. I would love to see someone port this to Atmega128 or even the 256. Though I think the 8515 and 2313 are just a little too small, even though I would love to be proven wrong, I've got plenty of 2313's lying around.

I wonder if ATmega328 (Arduino 2009) is compatible... It should work and it's cheap...

Yeah, after I seen the atmega series it was held on I thought for a second..

The USB162, which it is listed to work on, is 8-bit with 16KB flash and 512byte EEPROM and SRAM. thats not huge specs. the Atmega8L has only 8Kb flash, but as good or better specs as the USB162 so it could be a contendant depending on how much flash is really needed. Guess those Wiikey chips will be pulled!

The 2313 only has 2K flash - forget it, well, put it on the back burner..
If we could wire in an SPI (like from D2Pro chips) to hold data, and use the 2313 as a controller to feed the USB port the info... May work?? not sure if the 2313 will see external memory or not though - I am no programmer, just throwing out ideas. I won't even look up the 8515 info as I know its a lost cause.

The 128 defiantly meets specs tho, as would the AVR-X. I think this would be a good starting point should it be ported. Anyone know how to whip up a hex?
