If everyone is so worried about psn...why dont you guys just make an alternate way to connect to others with jb consoles...completely bypassing psn altogether...it is not like someone couldn't just write some software and possibly make a server and redirect everyone that is banned to use that one (or make them stand alone like p2p and search for other consoles). then all of sony's crap is totally pointless...

PSN isn't just a simple server, for your multiplayer games to work, a server-side software for that specific game is required, these files have not been leaked, there is no way to create such a network without these server-side applications.

Possibly, PSID is the only console identifier Sony publicly let you use in the SDK, so black ops probably bans based on it.

would anybody with a PS3 from UK, possibly the 40GB model, give me their console ID for me to test something? PSN may let you swap IDs as long as the PS3 is the same model/region. If that's so I could take a look further to find how to change this, but right now I'm not even sure if it works...

just to let u users know i have ####psn with this and 3.55 and psn acount signed online website these are my results first off i use the modded #%##psn 0.5 that spofes the psn and the concole id then i use the omg manager and spoof the payload pl3 or sycall u choose what u prefer even with the ####psn f ck psn u know what i mean and look up the concole id i get the same concole and the same psid even with the new modded f%##psn 0.5 it was releaed 2 days ago look it up? when i use both apps i get a funny feeling im in my account but im not because i have two accounts my master had my online content aka street fighter outfits two my pacman ce game ok down with that when i sign in with this app and change the psid i get none of my content from my master account but i can still sign on i think there is more to the story than just the psid? aka and the concole time for a bigger program

You should know, f*ckPSN only spoofs the ConsoleID sent over HTTP to the auth server. The PS3 still sends the real console ID over more than HTTP :/

YES you can get on COD Black Ops. BLANK your Console ID and it works. I know as I was playing it earlier today.

YES you CAN get on PSN with a banned console. NOT just PSN but in the PSN STORE.
HOW? you ask me? Well this is how.
Blank your consoleID with charles.
connect to PSN
use PSIDpatch v1.6 and get a random consoleID
connect to PSN store.
your in on a banned console... Enjoy.

Sadly, nope :/ The closest thing would be to change the included consoleid.txt to all zeroes, put it on a USB and use PSIDPatch to patch your ConsoleID to that. Sadly memory editing means we can only change whats there, not remove it.

This is so cool. I got banned and can now use my friends console id to get online again. They are too stupid to notice what happened to them.

1 of em called Sony, and Sony blames them they hacked their Ps3, which has not happened. Its just like riding somebody elses car and have them pay for the gaz.

Ofc this will totally ruin the whole ps3 online experience for everyone. Mine case is small, but try to see this on big scale... Thousands of legit ps3 owners will be ****ed.

Never though Sony will fail this much...

It was requested, and hell, there's been keyvault swapping on the Xbox 360 for god knows how long. Soon enough the same fate that happened to xbox (JTAGs drying up) will happen to PS3 (no pre-3.56 consoles), so stop complaining and have fun while you still can!
