    My 5G iPod Video died a couple years back. Rather the battery died and I just never got around to replacing it. If it wasn't for ungodly lousy shipping times I would order a new battery and just use that.

    Does it work when pluggen into usb? If so then you may not need a new battery.

    Thanks..

    Try this one, it's should work with the last build.

    Un-be-lievable.

    Odd question here though, after the PS3 is jailbroken the first time, I am guessing you must leave the iPod plugged into the PSB USB port everytime you want to boot using PSGroove?

    And does the PS3 charge the iPod as it is connected?

    I ask because running Rockbox seems to really run the iPod battery down big style

    EDIT: Also, would this work with Rockbox on any other MP3 player or must it be an iPod? Is it the iPL (iPod Loader) that's making it work?

    Well I removed the old one because it wasn't holding a charge. Otherwise I would test that theory now. Sadly you do need at least a battery in the iPod to get it to turn on.

    Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    File to patch: rockbox.ipod
    patching file rockbox.ipod
    Hunk #1 FAILED at 947.
    Hunk #2 FAILED at 956.
    2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file rockbox.ipod.rej
    can't find file to patch at input line 33
    Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
    The text leading up to this was:
    --------------------------
    |Index: firmware/export/config/ipodvideo.h
    |================================================= ==================
    |--- firmware/export/config/ipodvideo.h (revision 28157)
    |+++ firmware/export/config/ipodvideo.h (working copy)
    --------------------------

    The Hunks fail every time.
