hey DanyL, so I went out and bought a nano 1g and happily jb'd my ps3 :) just wanted to know whether any progress has been made with hermes payload for the nano 1g so that bm2 is supported (i.e. no need for a dvd)? also happy to help by compiling and testing any builds. have ubuntu ready to go :D
Well, I got "install package files" option so I guess it worked! Now I saw some links about 10 pages back for BM1(539,312 bytes) and BM2(file size 537,584 bytes). Which one should I install?
Thanks to all who helped
Wow, just gotta chime in to say thanks to you guys hammering away at the troublesome 4g greyscale port. It seems to be cursed, but it's great to see you guys have fun working it out. Me and the other losers with this iPod are really grateful. Hopefully it can be done, and in any case, we appreciate the efforts.
Is BM1 the original from psjailbreak.com and BM2 patched to work without game disc?
The Hermes's payload is not fully working yet.
Try replacing this file into /firmware/export/config after you apply the patch, and then try to compile it again to the 4G grayscale.
All seems to be working well. Backing up Flashpoint right now. Guess I don't have to bother making a psgroopic now. Thanks to everyone again.
Just wanted to say great job DanyL and everyone else on this. Im happy to say my ipod 1g mini and 1g nano work perfect. I give you mad props because theres so many idiot people out there just whining and moaning for this and that. Thanks for sticking it out. Let me know if theres anything i can do. (got a 4g nano sitting around just in case you need patches tested):)
