PSFreedom on iPhone running iPhone Linux
PSFreedom on iPhone running iPhone Linux –
NTAuthority has released the first steps of running PSFreedom on iPhone.
A small testing version has been uploaded (see the README for details). This will as always only work on the iPhone 2G/3G and iPod touch 1G and needs OpeniBoot installed. More will be written here later on as it's late here right now.
See http://wiki.psfreedom.com/wiki/IPhoneLinux for more info and updates.
It only contains precompiled binaries for the iPod touch, for iPhone you need to compile yourself with the kernel patch that should be included... blah blah read the README and win.

lol you beat me to it. I just say Math's tweet
oh god dam it i have a iphone 4 and it says it doesnt work with that
I have no idea how to compile this.....or if it runs on iOS 4....i'm on a 3G iPhone...would be nice to have a compiled one or whatever. Then again, I forgot how to install openiboot
by the way, does it actually work? or is it just a POC/WIP?
it does wipe the ps3 in debug mode but you cant install backup manager.

btw is there ANY chance to install openiboot on iphone 3gs???
I think they will find a way to install it on ALL iphone/ipod/ipad revisions.
I think to be able to install openiboot you need a bootrom exploit in the device which currently neither 3GS nor iPhone 4 have. I heard that the next Jailbreak of OS 4.1 is based on a bootrom exploit, so maybe there is a chance in the future.
