To be fair there are children with learning difficulties who would look like science boffins next to some of the stupidest nobheads in this topic. There's a good 10-15 people who have some "opinion" based on utter and tota shite.

1. There's the dicks who can't see there being a "point" to being able to downgrade from 3.50 because they're already on 3.41 themselves and don't understand that this is a product for....duh duh duhhhh people who are on 3.50.

2. Then there's the waste of space cretins who think the PSJB team shouldn't be "hated on" because they have delivered....funnily enough people who have registered this month and don't have a clue of the BS they've already been pulling for the past 2 months.

3. Not forgetting the people who can't fathom how they can charge such a high price because these people are too stupid to realise they have a monopoly at least until it gets hacked (these people don't understand that)

No, they deceptively said there would be a solution for later firmwares than 3.41 but they didn't actually say it would jailbreak that firmware. Everyone assumed (and rightly so) that they meant a jailbreak solution to use later firmware. However they have tricked us with more sneaky wording.

Actually you're wrong, those websites don't look legit at all, they have suspect whois info and the only thing genuine is the website presentation and that is normally obvious even. This is different it has genuine whois info that correlates with the original psjailbreak website

Why would you assume that, a sensible assumption would be that it changes some data on the dongle itself once the downgrade has been done making it useless until a new license has been purchased to repeat the procedure.

The more I read on in this thread the more I think about the PSJB team holding out on us. I wonder what other trick they got up their sleeve. For those who have been here since the beginning of the ps3 scene, you should remember something along the lines of the psjb team stealing a jig from sony.

So where is it? No it's not the jailbreak, the jailbreak is an exploit due to a buffer overflow, if anything they still have the jig and releasing things bit by bit to maximize their profits. In the following months they will have something else to overcharge you with. If everyone remembered how many times they delayed BM 1.1, you should know this won't see the light of day anytime soon.

Perhaps this is why Sony was ready to sue their pants off when they first released it. There may be much more the jig is capable of than homebrew. They didn't seem to react too harshly to the psp scene.

EDIT: forgot something. what the JB team RELEASED was an exploit. nobody knows how they developed this exploit but i believe they got it from an official sony insider and then they reversed engineered sony's service code so that sony could not say that they are using their code and could be sued. that makes the most sense out of any speculation the community has conjured up thus far.

Sounds reasonable. Sony loved the fact that their console was unhackable, and loosing a "skeleton key" for the system would be a kick in their face while they watch their girl sucking their best friend off.

It could quite well be that some disgruntled employee sold one, or gave it away just to spite them, but also said they had to figure it out.
